What will you learn?

  • Introduction of Human anatomy with an explanation of different anatomical terms and body systems. 

  • Introduction to Business of medicine

  • Identify the purpose of the CPT®, ICD-10-CM Code Set, and HCPCS Level II codes.

  • Understand and apply the official ICD-10-CM coding guidelines

  • Apply coding conventions and strategies when assigning diagnoses and procedure codes.

  • Identify the information in parenthesis.

  • Explain the ways to determine the levels of E/M services.

  • Code a wide variety of cases using CPT®, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes


Course content

Module 1 - Medical Terminology,  Anatomy Review and Business of medicine.

Module 2 - ICD 10-CM guidelines with ICD 9 applications,  Introduction to CPT,     HCPCS level II and Modifiers

Module 3 - Integumentary and Musculoskeletal system.

Module 4 - Respiratory and Cardiovascular system.

Module 5 - Hemic and Lymphatic system.

Module 6 - Digestive and Urinary system.

Module 7 - Female Reproductive system, maternity care and delivery and Special senses (ocular, auditory).

Module 8 - Endocrine system and nervous system.

Module 9 - Anaesthesia and Radiology.

Module 10 - Pathology, laboratory 

Module 11- Evaluation and management services.
